I want math students to feel comfortable tackling a problem they don’t know how to solve, messing around with it and taking advantage of resources around them (peers, books, me) to come up with something that might work, and then trying another method to check their answer.
I want my students to be able to learn anything they want to learn in the future, I want them to be lifelong learners. I also want them to be able to work as part of a team, and have a good set of social skills. Obviously I want them to leave with exceptionally high grades too, but that’s a given.
